Costa Rica & Nicaragua

So I kept it on the DL but we actually spent the last two weeks in Costa Rica & Nicaragua. My husband served his LDS mission in Costa Rica so not only was it special to see where he spent two years living and teaching but he was the perfect guide/translator/negotiator. We tried something new on this trip...we slowed down. Usually we're all about the adventure and non-stop sightseeing. But you know what? Turns our relaxing isn't as overrated as we thought. Thank you beaches & hammocks.

Our good friends joined us for part of the journey which was a total treat. Milla and I roomed together in college and has remained one of my closest friends. We happened to both marry tall dark and handsome boys who love adventures and traveling just as much as we do. They hiked a 4,000 ft volcano with us, never complained about the 10 hours on a bus without AC, and laughed at the ant infestation of the YEAR. Ugh. A story for another day.

Here's a quick recap of the trip in photos. I could talk about travel tips and must-see destinations for hours but I'll refrain since that's not what this blog is all about...unless you want to hear what I have to say.................................................. anyone? anyone?!

hiking through the jungle // hammocking

our nightly walk // tamarindo sunsets
what a BABE // just me
